The rising mist, the roaring noise, and the gaping abyss into which sheets of water cascade provide the spectacle and drama of a visit to Victoria Falls, aptly known as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ (‘the smoke that thunders’) in the local language.

Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe. Located on the border with Botswana, its 1.4 million hectares are home to the rich variety of different habitats, vegetation and wildlife.

By volume, Lake Kariba is the largest artificial lake and reservoir in the world; it is over 140 miles long and up to 20 miles in width. The ecology of Lake Kariba is vibrant, including fish such as the kapenta and tiger fish, crocodile, elephant, hippopotamus and abundant birdlife such as the fish eagle and cormorant.

In the middle reaches of the Zambezi River, a hundred kilometres below Lake Kibra is the Mana Pools National Park situated in the heart of the Zambezi Valley. It's a remote, beautiful place with spectacular views of the broad flowing river, floodplains, the tree canopy and the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment.
